label life

For you and the planet, Bolloré Thin Papers creates life, less impact for earth. A label helping you to better communicate your choice of paper.

In 2008, a global and ecologically responsible approach, rather unique in the thin paper sector, was conceived. Bolloré Thin Papers undertook the very first Life Cycle Assessment on thin paper. The objective was to evaluate the environmental impacts of paper by considering all of the lifecycle stages, from the extraction of raw materials to its final production. Several activities resulted from this, including the launch of Primagreen in May 2009, which was the first certified thin, recycled paper, in addition to the creation at the beginning of this year of an ecological design division at Papeteries du Léman.

Today, Bolloré Thin Papers remains one step ahead and has created the life environmental label, which is a visual representation of the Life Cycle Assessment results. As a universal term, life, which is an acronym for “less impact for earth” perfectly outlines our desire to control our carbon footprint and to conserve our planet for future generations. By launching this label, we have set out a clear objective which is to involve you in our approach by providing you with a simple and global communication tool which allows you to promote in turn your environmental commitment in a simple and effective way with your users and partners.
